1. Client Background
Our client is a luxury U.S. candle brand known for eco-friendly home fragrances made from natural wax and essential oils,they worked with Mosteb, a glass candle jars supplier, to create a custom custom candle jar with a soft matte white finish, paired with a natural wooden lid engraved with their logo. The goal was to elevate the unboxing experience while preserving scent freshness. 2. Challenge
Major hurdles first came to light during production tests of the initial batch.
At first, some of the high-fragrance wax blends caused subtle surface reactions and led to fogging or micro-spotting on the glass side. This not only eliminated the visual clarity but also, the overall aesthetics associated with the premium product were affected.
Also, getting a wooden lid to fit a particular jar perfectly was a hard task since each of wood, metal, and silicone lids have their own respective different tolerances. Likewise, if differences are simply minimal, then on the one hand, scent leakage and on the other hand, loose fitting during shipping might be the results.
3. Cause Analysis
After thorough checking by the technical team, it was found by them that the chemical activity was involved with the forming of the inner glass wall where micro-residues were left which then reacted with the natural oils in the wax. When talking about the lid fitting problem, the root of the issue was said to be the extent of variability in the thermal expansion rates of the glass and lid materials. To bring the problems at a standstill, we along with the client R&D team harmoniously worked on refining the parameters and then confirming performance through simulated burn and transport tests.

4. Solution
- We made the annealing and surface polishing process better and thus micro-residues were diminished and the inner wall became more stable.
- A special protective layer was introduced to prevent the wax–glass reaction without causing any visual obstruction.
- A digital calibration model was created for lid threading and mouth diameter so that ±0.1mm tolerance could be achieved from one batch to another.
- We carried out fit tests for all lid types and gave compatibility reports to the client for their future needs.
5. Result
The final candle jars, in fact, attained perfect transparency and airtightness as well as batch-to-batch uniformity after a number of production trials. With the launch of its eco-luxury candle line, the brand accomplished two things at once: receiving commendations for its elegant presentation and for the longer-lasting scent.
