1. Context
A customer from South Africa contacted us with the idea of creating a irregular-shaped custom candle glass jar to keep their premium candles for weddings and social functions. The goal was to design a product that stood both as elegant and practical, which increased the atmosphere of their events.
2. Challenge
Unlike standard round or square mold, irregular figures present significant production difficulties. In such molds, the molten glass does not flow easily, often leading to uneven wall thickness – some areas become very thin and others become highly thicker. It can affect durability, aesthetics and safety during use.
3. Result
Although these challenges were unavoidable, we are committed to providing unrelated quality without confusing our customers. To overcome this issue, our engineering team carefully adjusted mold design, fine-tend temperature control, and run several test batches. By working in close partnership with the client, we ensured that the final solution was balanced power, beauty and functionality.

4. How We Did It
- Pre-production preparations-our designers and engineers analyzed the structural risks of irregular size and adapted to mold to improve the flow of glass and reduce stress concentration.
- Sample production and response – initial samples were produced and shared with the customer. Depending on their response, we refined the thickness of the wall and adjusting the cooling process to achieve the right balance.
- Cost adaptation and complete production – once the design is valid, we streamlined physical use and production cycles. During manufacturing, we maintained open communication with clients, provided regular progress updates, and ensured timely delivery with complete satisfaction.
