Context
An Italian customer approached us with a request to customize a tulip -shaped glass candle jars unique with a gradient finish for his premium candle collection. Their goal was to make packaging, which not only highlighted the elegance of his brand, but also increased the decorative value of their candles, appealing to the high-end lifestyle market.
Challenge
Compared to standard candle jars, applying gradient color spraying on tulip -shaped design presents significant production challenges. The gradient finish requires strict control of spraying angle, color concentration and firing temperature. With a complex tulip curvature, it is easy to look unequal to the shield, resulting in inconsistent appearance and low yield rate. This meant that maintaining both aesthetic effect and stable quality was a demanding task.
Result
Although these challenges were unavoidable, our commitment was clear: we never compromise on quality nor mislead our customers.
To remove technical barriers, we invested additional resources in the spray test, adjusting firing curves, and refining our spraying process through several test runs.
Meanwhile, we worked in close collaboration with the customer at every stage to ensure that their brand vision was fully felt. The final product successfully met a visually stunning, durable and frequent shield tulip candle jar, fully fulfills customers’ expectations and strengthens its product discrimination in the market.

How We Did It
- Preliminary function: Our engineering and design team conducted a feasibility study, analyzed tulip curvature and tested various shield spraying techniques. Adjustments were made to achieve smooth infections and avoid visible spraying lines.
- Sample production and adjustment: The initial prototypes were created and presented to the customer. Based on their response, we refined color layering and adapted to the shield depth to better reflect the beauty preference of the brand.
- Cost optimization and mass production: We adapted to spraying and annealing process to balance efficiency and stability while maintaining transparent communication with clients. Regular updates were provided on production progress, and custom protective packaging was developed to reduce the risk of breakdown during transport. This ensures on-time delivery, cost control and complete customer satisfaction.
