1. Client Background
Our customer, a luxury fragrance brand located in US, contacted us to develop a series of custom glass cylinder vases. They wanted these vases as part of their premium home fragrance line, designed to keep both decorative blooms and reed discus. The adaptation was required to align with the minimum elegant design ethos of its brand yet. 2. Challenge
The cylinder vase looked simple for manufacture, however, the real challenge was located in large diameter of the mouth of the vase. If the cutting and finishing process was not carefully controlled, the edges may be uneven, may be prone to denting or chipping, which will compromise both aesthetics and durability.
3. Cause Analysis
Our technical team investigated the issue and identified the main problem: stress and delicateness focused on the cut edge of the wide -faced glass cylinder. Cutting speeds, blades alignment, or minor deviations in cooling balance can introduce micro-dars or irregularities. To address this, we conducted several tests with separate cutting techniques, carefully monitored cooling rates, and closely collaborated with the customer to ensure visual and touch quality, which match their luxury brand standards.

4. Solution
To solve this challenge, we implemented many measures:
- Adopted accurate diamond-blade cutting with tight tolerance control for large-glasses.
- Introducing automatic polishing to finish a smooth, uniform edge and eliminate sharpness.
- Applied stress-relief annealing immediately after cutting to reduce the risk of micro-creek.
- Quality inspection protocols to detect irregularities of slight edge before packaging.
5. Result
The final vase meets the high expectations of the customer, with a completely smooth edges and a sophisticated finish that expressed luxury and safety. The fragrance brand successfully launched its new collection, obtained positive response from retail partners and equally eliminated customers.
