Our client, a home décor brand from Canada, approached Mosteb for a glass flower vase customize project involving a gradient-colored vase with a hand-pressed wavy texture and a matte-metal collar ring.
They wanted such a custom because it is reported that Canadian consumers opt for pastel gradients with tactility that gives them an art-crafted look of a premium kind. The metal fitch was powering the brand’s positioning as a design-led and modern label.

Challenges
The brand found two issues during the very first sampling stage:
- Gradient Color Inconsistency:for example, one of the transitions showed a significantly darker color concentration near the neck area, thus resulting in an unnatural color fade.
- Metal Collar Loosening:the collar ring occasionally rotated or slipped due to inconsistent neck sizing.
Cause Analysis
Mosteb’s tech crew dug deep. Regarding the gradient issue,
we pinpointed: Changes in spray-gun distance during manual application Uneven airflow distribution in the spray booth Regarding the collar-fit issue,
we discovered: Small changes in cooling-phase shrinkage impacting neck diameter Low bonding strength of the adhesive used by the accessory supplier.
We decided to carry out different controlled gradient tests, do measurement scans over several cooling cycles, and test different adhesive formulations to resolve this issue.
The Canadian brand received the weekly progress reports to ensure absolute transparency during the glass flower vase customize process.
Solution
