As a result of problems with tealight holder vendors, a wedding planning center located in Seville, Spain, attempted to cooperate directly with Mosteb, a professional tealight holders factory/supplier to stabilize quality and match the needs of the event in size.
Client Background
The wedding planning center focuses on destination weddings and mass receptions in the Southern part of Spain. In their new romantic based event packages, they needed their own designed tealight holders with the soft champagne color of glass as body, delicate hammered texture, and slightly thickened rounded bottom.
The reason why the hammered finish has been chosen is that the candlelight is gently diffused and a warm atmosphere is created in the evenings where the parties held their receptions, and the thicker base of the surface provided greater stability in long banquet tables and on stone surfaces in the open. They selected Mosteb due to the fact that we are a direct factory and we can provide a stable production control, flexibility regarding customization, and stability regarding bulk supply according to the timelines of the events.

Challenges
- Inconsistent color tone across batches: In the case of working with a tealight holder supplier in the past, the shade in the champagne color varied significantly with the purchase lot. These differences could be easily seen with lighting in large weddings involving hundreds of holders in a single place, and this impacted the overall harmony of decor.
- High breakage rate during transport and setup: The former supplier offered thin bottom glass and light weight glass. The high frequency of loading, unloading and quick set-up on the site led to cracking and tipping particularly when used in the outdoor vineyard and courtyard venues.

Cause Analysis
- Our technical department checked samples that were returned and found out two fundamental issues:
- A lack of consistency in the batch production of glass was due to unstable control of color-mixing.
- The design focused on beauty and not on stability whereby the base was not thick enough to support any event.
- In order to address these problems, we studied the composition ratios of the glasses and formulated the tints and did the stress testing to test the impact resistance and stability.
Solution
Introduced standard mix parameters of tinting to create a consistent color of champagne in batches.
Thickened base and better weight distribution without changing the overall shape.
Implemented reinforced export cartons that have internal dividers to minimise transit damage.
Embarked comparison checks prior to shipments to ensure visual consistency.
Result
The bespoke tealight holders were delivered in time with the same color and better durability. Breakage rates were reduced tremendously and big wedding installations obtained homogenous visual presentation. After the successful season, the client affirmed to make subsequent bulk orders with the upcoming events and increase collaboration with Mosteb with more decorative glasses.
