Client Background
Our glass candle jars bulk client is a boutique scented candle brand from Italy, known for its botanical-inspired fragrances sold in artisan markets and lifestyle boutiques across Milan and Florence. As they prepared for a large fall–winter restock, they commissioned deep-amber tinted jars with vertical etched ribs and a matching airtight aluminum lid from Mosteb.
They selected this custom style because:
- The amber tint fits their earthy, botanical branding
- Etched ribs enhance grip and visual identity
- The airtight lid protects scent integrity during storage and retail display
The brand chose Mosteb due to our:
- Strong mold-development capabilities
- Ability to supply glass + lids under one coordinated system
- Reliable bulk production suitable for seasonal surges
- Clear technical communication and rapid feasibility evaluations

Challenges
During sampling and early mass production, the Italian brand encountered two realistic problems:
- Tint Shade Variation Across Batches
Some amber jars appeared slightly lighter or more yellow, making it difficult to maintain a uniform brand aesthetic on shelves. - Lid Air-Tightness Inconsistency
A portion of the aluminum lids showed inconsistent sealing ability due to micro-variations in silicone ring compression.

Cause Analysis
Our engineering team conducted a detailed cross-department review.
For the tint variation, we discovered:
- Temperature fluctuations in the coloring furnace caused pigment distribution changes
- Uneven stirring intervals in the tinting mixture led to subtle color differences
For the lid issue, we identified:
- Cooling-shrinkage variation at the jar mouth altered sealing pressure
- The lid supplier used silicone rings with a tolerance too narrow for bulk production demands
To address these findings, Mosteb ran multiple furnace-stability tests, performed mouth-diameter digital mapping, and coordinated with the lid supplier to revise their ring specifications.
Solution
Mosteb implemented several targeted solutions:
- Tint Furnace Temperature Stabilization
Reprogrammed heating cycles and adopted automated stirring intervals to maintain pigment consistency. - Recalibrated Jar Mouth Dimensions
Adjusted the mold by 0.4 mm to minimize shrinkage differences and improve sealing uniformity. - Upgraded Silicone Ring Specs
Worked with the lid supplier to use a more elastic ring with wider tolerance, ensuring reliable airtightness. - Mid-Line QC for Both Tint & Seal
Introduced two additional checkpoints: tint tone comparison under controlled lighting and seal-pressure tests for every 100 units.
Result
After these improvements, the Italian brand achieved:
- Highly stable amber tint with less than 1% visual deviation
- Consistent airtight sealing across mass production
- Smooth bulk delivery ahead of their fall–winter season
- A 40% reorder increase the following quarter due to strong retail performance
The success of this glass candle jars bulk project led the brand to sign a long-term supply partnership with Mosteb and expand into frosted and gradient candle jar lines.
