Project Background
Mosteb was called upon to create bespoke luxury reed diffuser bottles for a fragrance company based in the UK and a premium essential oil collection. The client required packaging to showcase the elegance of the brand and to provide a good fragrance diffusion performance.
The bottles had to be both aesthetic and functional, as well as providing an efficient and effective way for reed sticks to absorb and disperse fragrance oils without sacrificing a high-end look for retail shelves and gift packaging.
Challenge
The project had a number of technical difficulties.
The bottle neck sizes were first of all required to be carefully controlled to fit the reed sticks. Any slight size differences may impact on the diffusion performance of the fragrance or fit.
Secondly, the customer needed a high-quality glass clarity and surface finish to reinforce its luxury brand image. Any defects, bubbles or inconsistencies would have a negative effect on product presentation.
Lastly, the bottles had to be produced in mass quantities that would remain consistent in quality, and meet the client’s deadline for an upcoming product launch.
Solution
Our engineering and production team worked closely with the customer throughout the development process to meet these requirements.
The bottle design has been optimized to get the correct proportions and neck size. Several prototype samples were made and tested to ensure appropriate reed stick compatibility and fragrance performance.
Strict quality control measures were taken during the production process to oversee critical dimensions, glass clarity and surface quality. The client was kept up to date throughout the project, so that all the works were performed to satisfy their expectations.
