Client Background
The square glass diffuser bottles importer with its headquarters in Germany was in need of an efficient manufacturer of perfume bottles to produce personalized square glass diffuser bottles with their domestic fragrance customers. Their brands needed clean and modern bottle form, proper sizes and uniform glass quality to fit the premium positioning and automatic filling equipment.

Challenges
In the creation of custom square glass diffuser bottles to suit brand ideas, there were two major challenges;
- Their Geometry and Dimension: The geometry and dimension of the square are to be maintained sharp and straight.Square bottles require flat areas, sharpness, and finishes on the neck. Any minor distortion in the process of forming or cooling of glass would interfere with the cap fitting, label placement, and the general look of the shelf. Consistent dimensions in the large production runs were only possible through uniform design of the mold and the production parameters.
- Personalized Colour, Clarity and Smoothness Consistency: The customer wanted individual light-amber colour with high clarity to display the perfume liquid, and optional frosted finish on certain SKUs. Preserving color cast, transparency and smoothness of the surface across various batches particularly when doing a repeat order was a significant technical challenge.
Result
Mosteb used a very team-oriented and detail-oriented approach to address these problems:
- We made mould arrangements and cooling techniques as efficient as possible in order to maintain sharp square edges and constant dimensions.
- Various tests of colors and finishes were done to obtain the precise shade and quality of the surface, demanded by the brands.
- The constant communication allowed getting all the adjustments authorized prior to mass production.
- The resulting square glass diffuser bottles were functional and aesthetically designed to fulfill the functional and aesthetic needs, which enabled the importer to satisfy their clients in supplying their fragrance brand and developing long investment relationships.
How We Did It
- Pre-Production (Solution Development) Work: We started off with thorough deliberations to be familiar with bottle capacity, filling strategies, decoration strategies, and brand positioning. On the basis of this, we also gave professional suggestions regarding composition of glass, thickness of walls and design of square molds.
- Sample Production and Adjustment of Feedback: First samples were made and examined by the importer. Molds and glass formula were refined on feedback of corner sharpness, neck precision, and color tone until final approval.
- Mass Production and Cost Optimization: After the verification of samples we were able to optimize the batch sizes, use of molds and the production schedule to achieve a balance between cost and premium quality.
- Delivery, Communication and Production: During mass production, we also kept them updated on the progress of their products, showed them inspection pictures, and schedule. Any problem that might arise was resolved in time to achieve timely delivery and maximum customer satisfaction.
