Client Background

Mosteb was approached by a U.S.-based exhibition and event designer to create a custom table vase design project. The client wanted to create several different types of glass vases to sell at trade shows, exhibits and for office decor.

Exhibition products must be both visually consistent and stable, be easy to handle, and be able to be delivered in bulk without the threat of failure. The client required a manufacturing partner with the ability to create several designs on a consistent basis on dimensions, finishes, and production quality.

Mosteb, a table vase company, became the company’s chosen partner because of their professional table vase services:

  • The company has extensive experience in creating and producing decorative glass vases which display artistic beauty.
  • The company can create custom vases through its ability to modify all aspects of design including shape and size and color and finish.
  • The company maintains steady production capacity to meet its ongoing exhibition requirements.
  • The organization possesses continuous communication abilities which enable it to deliver products to international destinations on schedule.

Challenges

Two main problems arose during the process of developing customized solutions.

Challenge 1: Multiple Designs within One Visual System

The client required a variety of table vase designs for various exhibition events such as minimalist, modern and floral themes. The project needed to feature several different heights, varying neck and base ratios, as well as three surface finishes – clear, lightly tinted and frosted.

The challenge was to make each vase look different from the other while maintaining a visual harmony with the others. The dimensions, thickness of the glass, proportions and surface finishes were therefore required to be controlled between the various designs.

Challenge 2: Enhancing Stability for High Traffic Exhibition Areas

Stability was an important consideration, due to the vases being used in busy exhibition spaces. The client’s ideas were for small table vases that would not tip over during installation and everyday use, and would be easy for staff to manage.

The design thus had to take into account the base, height, thickness of the glass and the distribution of its weight. The aim was to enhance stability while reducing the weight of the vases to the minimum.

Result

Mosteb developed a complete plan for customization and manufacturing to solve these problems.

The mold design together with glass distribution arrangement created stable and balanced vases which users can operate in areas with heavy pedestrian traffic. We established standard measurements for various designs which allow vases to maintain a uniform appearance while permitting different design options.

The testing process included durability and stability evaluations which confirmed that the vases could handle transportation and operational conditions without losing their original quality.

Mosteb maintained constant communication with the client about design developments and sample results and production status throughout the project. The final product achieved the design and functional requirements which the client specified.

The client has received these custom-designed table vases, and the decoration of their exhibition has been completed successfully, with the same appearance of products in various display sites. The stability of structure and the customised finishes helped to improve the installation efficiency, and Mosteb’s production support enabled the client to better manage future event needs with confidence.

How We Did It

  1. Pre-Production Planning: The client received consultation about various exhibition themes and different usage scenarios and the necessary design specifications. The team created technical drawings which included solutions for stability and durability and aesthetic design elements that were presented to the client.
  2. Sample Production and Optimization: The production team created design samples for testing purposes. The team optimized mold details based on customer feedback about size and weight and surface finish until the client approved the complete design.
  3. Cost Optimization and Mass Production: The production process received optimization after the client approved all design elements because the team aimed for waste reduction. The production team conducted monitoring activities throughout all stages to protect the quality standards.
  4. Continuous Communication and Delivery Assurance: The team maintained ongoing communication throughout the mass production process. The client received regular updates about the status of their order. This process ensured that the products would be delivered on time.
