Client Background
The collaboration with table vase factory was essential to a Munich-based interior design studio with a residential and small-hospitality focus and a modern and functional look. They contracted out the manufacture of table vases on a wholesale basis to Mosteb as the studio increased its services to cafes and serviced apartments with table decor. The studio ordered a low profile clear glass vase of table shape with a slender tapered body, fine horizontal line texture on the middle section and a thickened flat base. This design was selected to have the sightlines clear in the dining tables and a light texture that did not interfere with both the wood and the stone surfaces.
They chose Mosteb due to the customization flexibility of our factory level, the consistency of bulk production of our products and the ability of communication during the sampling and manufacturing process.
Challenges

Cause Analysis
Our technical department found out that stability and appearance might be adversely affected by slight differences in the thickness of glasses and base diameter when used in large groups. To overcome this, we made an analysis of the weight distribution and mold tolerances. We have also examined the historical problems of the client in regards to uneven finishing with the suppliers he has had them with.
Solution
- Streamlined mold construction so that the thickness of the walls is uniform and consistent.
- Slightly increase the base weight, but not the design intent, to enhance balance.
- Implemented batch sampling checks where production was periodically checked.
- Had samples to be pre-production to approve before mass production.
Result
The personalized table vases were delivered in time and installed successfully in five interiors projects. Client claimed he had better efficiency in installations, no complaints of instabilities, and increased visual cohesion, which made him place repeat orders of wholesales of future design seasons.
