Client Background
The cooperation with table vase manufacturers was necessary, an interior design studio located in Stockholm, Sweden, which focused on residential styles and boutique hotels. They have collaborated with Mosteb to deal in the production of custom table vases in wholesale to support a series of restaurant and hotel table decor installations.
The studio had to commission a small clear glass table vase having a smoothly rounded square shape, slight ripple on the bottom portion and thickened base to stabilize it in the tabletop. The simple form permitted the use of the flowers to help decorate the interiors without taking up the space unlike oversized ones and through the delicate texture, visual depth was created under the ambient light. Cause Analysis
Our group found out that generic vase ratios were not balanced towards high foot traffic hospitality settings. Moreover, there was the delay caused by inconsistent schedules of production by the previous suppliers. To address this we assessed the distribution of weight of vases and aligned the production planning with the installation schedule of the studio.
Solution
- Reconfigured the base structure to have more glass thickness in order to enhance balance.
- Standardized mold specifications to guarantee consistency in the size of bulk order.
- Scheduling to produce capacity to satisfy staged delivery schedules.
- Performed drop and tilt-angle test to ensure that the tabletop was stable.
Result
The personalized table vases were processed and placed on schedule and on three business projects without a single breakout or issues of insecurity. The client said that the project work became smoother and the visual consistency was also improved, resulting in a long-term supply agreement with Mosteb on further interior collections.
