A 390ml glass bell candle holder shaped like a bell, with a thick base, a wide opening and a matching lid made of flint glass. Clear glass comes in a neutral color to display candle colors and wax textures; custom glass colors, such as gradient colors, give more options for designs. We were approached by a Polish trading company that was looking for some original candle jars for sale in the European market. It’s primary requirement was that the glass container must be hot fillable with candle wax, and it also needed to be a design to help distinguish its product offering.

Design and Initial Production

Our team of designers cooperated with the customer to create a bell-shaped candle jar along with a matching lid. The customer was pleased with the design and chose two variants which were tailored to his needs:

• Gradient glass and sticker labels for a unique colour presentation.
• Clear Glass for a Clean and Branded Look.

Packaging boxes for specific presentation and distribution requirements were also designed. Samples were made for hot filling tests, so the customer could make a preliminary assessment of the jars under the intended application. The customer was pleased with the design and sample quality and ordered 5,000 sets.

Product Line Expansion

After one year, the customer wanted to add two sizes to the collection: 250ml, and 450ml. We created new moulds for these additional capacities and the client was able to supply a co-ordinated line of three capacities. These were then followed by production of 20,000 sets per size.

Seven Years of Consistent Cooperation

The relationship is firm and strong, and has not been affected by the seven years since the order was first made. This areal collaboration has been a proof of the possibilities to support a trading company’s growing wholesale business through the coordinated development of design, custom glass packaging, product testing and scalable production.
